The Inter fraternity Council at the University of North Texas was established in order to better its members and improve its community through focused strength by the social fraternities of UNT. With the cooperation of its representative chapters, the IFC is united in the pursuit of scholarship, community service, character, and friendship through our brotherhoods.
Today the UNT IFC is composed of two representatives from the fifteen IFC Chapters at the institution as well as a seven member executive board and several standing committee chairmen. Through our cooperation, we strive to promote the ideals of Greek Life and to maintain our privilege of self-governance.

The functions of the IFC are to: promote relationships that are conducive to the general preservation of the fraternity community at UNT, improve the overall collegiate experience by assisting the fraternity community to remain acceptable and relevant to student life on our campus, serve as a forum for consideration of the mutual concerns of member organizations, provide assistance to any fraternity in the accomplishment of its goals and activities when such assistance is considered appropriate, provide programs and activities that aid in the development of all member organizations, initiate resolutions and recommendations that will further the purposes and ideals of member organizations, provide common experiences that encourages cooperation and unity among all campus organizations, and to uphold and promote the standards of member organizations and governing bodies while supporting the inter-fraternal movement.
. We hope to shine light on what the IFC Executive Board does as well as provide you with our governing documents and a list of current chapter representatives.
